Call for Artists

ISEA2014 Dubai: Location
NOVEMBER 2014

Open Call for Artworks
Deadline for submissions: submissions are now closed
Projected Date of Notification of Acceptance: February 23, 2014

Please propose your concepts for artworks to be on exhibit during ISEA2014 Dubai under the theme of Location. There will also be several artists in residency opportunities available that will provide international artists an immersive creative experience in the United Arab Emirates.

Please check www.isea2014.org for artists in residency information and submission forms (to be updated early summer).

Please note that graduate students are eligible to participate in the regular “Call for Artworks” submission. Undergraduate students can visit the “Call for Students” area for more information on submissions that will be accepted.  Examples of projects that might be considered from undergraduate students include: poster sessions, paper presentations, developing projects/artworks, undergraduate student collaborations with their professors, and classroom projects/collaborations developed in university settings, and more.

The ISEA2014 committee encourages individual artists and/or creative teams (interdisciplinary teams are encouraged) to conceptualize and scale their projects with budget considerations in mind. ISEA2014 cannot provide financial assistance, but will do all in their power to assist the selected artists. Budget requirements can be included with the logistical information or in the support document.

Visit the main ISEA2014 theme and subtheme page for information to consider while developing your proposal. Please take the sub-themes into consideration and feel free to think beyond them under the overarching theme of Location.
